The Fraser Valley Dental Society was first established and incorporated back in 1969. We are a non-profit, non-denominational member-based organization aimed at serving the continuing education and social needs of the dental community in the Fraser Valley area.
Historically, the success of our Society has primarily been due to the efforts of individuals involved in our committees (Program, Publication and Membership) and Executive.
Due to challenges in making the Society continually successful, and given the incredible number of volunteer hours necessary to put on programs throughout the year, the last year of CDE from the Society was in 2013/14.
In late 2019, dentists in the community contracted an Executive Director to step into a role we never had before, to coordinate the activities of the Society’s Executive Committee, Board of Directors, and continuing education opportunities. This position relieved local dentists, their families, and offices from the demands that came with maintaining and growing a Society for the coming years.
